Saudi producer raises August PE prices for Vietnam with sharp increases

A major Saudi Arabian producer has announced its August polyethylene (PE) offers for the Vietnamese market, introducing substantial price increases across almost all grades compared with July. The latest revision marks a sharp turnaround after last month's broad price reductions.

For August shipments, HDPE Film and LDPE Film recorded the largest increases, each rising by $200/ton. LLDPE C4 Film prices moved up by $140-150/ton, while LLDPE C4 Injection increased by $150/ton. mLLDPE C6 prices were raised by $120/ton, LDPE Coating gained $90/ton, and LLDPE C4 Rotomolding increased by $50/ton. HDPE Blow Molding was not included in the latest price announcement.

The revised offers are on a CIF Vietnam, cash basis and are as follows:

Current Price: $1,250-1,260/ton
Increase: ▲ $140-150/ton

LDPE Film
Current Price: $1,500/ton

Current Price: $1,300/ton

Current Price: $1,400/ton
Increase: ▲ $150/ton

The latest pricing indicates that suppliers are responding to higher production costs and changing market conditions, with Vietnam facing significantly higher import PE offers for August.
