Polymer price methodology and verification
This policy explains which polymer records Credco publishes, what the displayed price basis means, and how verification, price changes, revisions and corrections are kept distinct.

1. Scope and Delhi NCR basis
The commercial price pages cover publication-qualified virgin polymer grades and, separately, active reprocessed listings. The primary market view is Delhi NCR. A grade is not published as a Delhi NCR price unless its normalized record explicitly states the market basis and quotation basis.
Prices are shown in INR with an explicit denominator such as ₹/kg or ₹/MT. Credco does not infer whether GST, freight, insurance, unloading, credit terms, MOQ or a particular lot size is included. Those terms appear only when the source record explicitly states them.
2. Sources and editorial workflow
- Current grade records use normalized Credco product and pricing data.
- Revision-ledger records require an effective date, source name, a public URL or document reference, producer attribution, affected grades and before/after values.
- Reprocessed listings require explicit seller, inventory, location, unit, basis and evidence-state fields; missing facts remain unknown rather than being inferred from marketing copy.
- Draft revisions pass a review state before publication. Publication and correction actors and timestamps are retained in the database.
3. Verification and update cadence
Pricing feeds may refresh daily, but a feed refresh is not the same as verification. Indexable grade pages require a human/source verification timestamp no more than seven days old. Producer hubs use a fourteen-day maximum because they aggregate multiple already-qualified grades and a reviewed revision record.

4. Publication gates
A virgin grade enters prerendering and the XML sitemap only when one database record supplies the URL identity, polymer family, grade, normalized producer, MFI, positive current price, INR currency, unit, market and quotation basis, active status, verification time and price-change time. A datasheet link is published only when the same record contains a valid relationship.
Reprocessed category hubs additionally require at least three complete active listings from at least two sellers. Empty or incomplete configured categories are not prerendered, indexed or included in the sitemap.
5. Trends, outliers and calculations
Direction and percentage movement are calculated only from stored observations returned by the pricing history source. Credco does not synthesize missing historical points for indexable claims. A period change is the latest observation minus the first valid observation in that period, divided by the first observation.
Invalid numbers, non-positive prices, implausible series discontinuities and records without an attributable basis are withheld from publication for review. Medians may be used for category summaries to reduce sensitivity to a single grade, while individual grade values remain visible.
6. Revisions and corrections
The price revision ledger (when published) separates effective date, source publication date, Credco publication date and source access date. Before/after values are stored in INR/kg and the equivalent INR/MT change is computed from those values.
A material correction records who corrected the entry, when it was corrected and why. The public record is marked corrected and displays the reason; the system does not silently replace revision history.
Methodology questions
- Does “verified” mean the price changed today?
- No. Verification freshness and price-change freshness are separate fields. A record may be rechecked without a price change, and a changed price is not described as verified until its source and basis pass review.
- Are GST, freight and delivery included in every published price?
- No universal inclusion is assumed. Each published grade must state its market and quotation basis. GST, freight, lot size and delivery terms are described only when the underlying record explicitly supplies them.
- How are corrections handled?
- Material corrections retain the original ledger identity, record the correction time and reason, and update affected values after review. Pages do not silently rewrite sourced revision history.
