Saudi Polymer Producer Announces Further Price Increases for November

PP Increases Moderate, While PE Gains Remain Strong
For polypropylene, homo-PP raffia and injection prices rose by SAR118/ton ($31/ton) compared with October. Homo-PP film and fibre increased by SAR106/ton ($28/ton), while PPBC injection prices gained SAR104/ton ($28/ton). PPRC injection saw the smallest adjustment, increasing by SAR82/ton ($22/ton). Overall, PP hikes slowed considerably compared with the previous month.
Polyethylene prices moved up more significantly. LLDPE film prices climbed by SAR507/ton ($135/ton), the largest increase across the producer’s portfolio. HDPE film prices rose by SAR308/ton ($82/ton), while HDPE injection and blow-moulding grades increased by SAR306/ton ($82/ton) and SAR303/ton ($81/ton), respectively. LDPE film prices were raised by SAR244/ton ($65/ton).
Limited Buying Interest Keeps Trading Subdued
A local market source confirmed that the producer continues to supply the domestic market, although availability remains restricted for certain grades. The source added that November’s increases were largely anticipated, but weak buying interest continues to limit market activity.
With upstream prices fluctuating and demand below average, buyers are prioritizing immediate needs instead of building inventories. Market participants are also monitoring incoming deliveries to determine whether supply conditions will improve in the coming days.
