China’s PVC Exports Stay Strong Despite June Pullback

H1 Exports Reach Record Levels
During January–June 2026, China exported approximately 2.4 million tons of S-PVC, marking a 22% increase compared to the same period last year. Export earnings also climbed sharply, rising nearly 33% year-on-year to over $1.6 billion, highlighting stronger global demand and improved export values.
June Shipments Ease After Strong Run
After reaching elevated levels in May, exports moderated in June. Shipment volumes declined by more than 21% month-on-month, while export revenue fell by over 26%. However, compared with June 2025, export volumes were still more than 15% higher, and export value jumped over 42%, showing that international demand remained stronger than a year ago.
India Remains the Largest Buyer
India retained its position as the biggest destination for Chinese S-PVC, accounting for around 38% of total exports during the first half of the year, with purchases increasing by nearly 10% year-on-year.
Vietnam remained the second-largest buyer, recording a sharp 73% increase in imports from China and representing 9% of total exports.
Indonesia Climbs the Rankings
Indonesia emerged as the biggest mover among major importers, rising to become China's third-largest S-PVC export market after ranking much lower a year earlier. Meanwhile, the United Arab Emirates slipped down the rankings as regional trade was affected by ongoing geopolitical tensions.
The same three countries—India, Vietnam, and Indonesia—also remained the leading destinations for Chinese PVC exports during June, underlining Asia's continued importance as the primary market for China's growing export volumes.
