China S-PVC Exports Rebound in August as India Raises Purchases

India, which remained the largest destination for Chinese S-PVC, played an important role in the recovery by significantly increasing its share of China’s total export volumes.
August Exports Increase Month on Month and Year on Year
China’s S-PVC exports climbed 45% month on month to more than 300,000 tons in August, following declines in both June and July. On a yearly basis, exports increased 11% in August 2026.
Export values also recorded notable growth. China’s S-PVC shipments were valued at nearly $215 million in August, representing a 42% increase from July and a 23% rise compared with August of the previous year.
During the first eight months of 2026, China’s cumulative S-PVC exports approached 3 million tons. This volume has already exceeded the full-year totals recorded before 2025, when China’s annual exports reached a previous record high.
India Expands Share as Vietnam Demand Weakens
India retained its position as China’s largest S-PVC export market in August, with its share rising sharply to 44% from 16% in July.
Vietnam remained the second-largest destination, although its share nearly halved to around 7% of China’s total S-PVC exports.
Uzbekistan moved into third place among China’s leading S-PVC buyers, rising from fifth place in July and accounting for approximately 5% of total shipments.
Russia, which ranked as China’s third-largest destination in July, slipped to sixth place in August.
India Drives China’s August Export Recovery
The sharp increase in India’s share provided significant support to China’s S-PVC export performance in August. At the same time, weaker participation from Vietnam and changes among other major destinations reshaped the overall buyer distribution.
With cumulative exports already approaching 3 million tons in the first eight months of 2026, China continues to maintain strong export volumes in the S-PVC market.
