Taiwan PVC Producer Raises November Offers to Asia for Fourth Straight Month

Compared with the revised October offers, the producer increased its PVC K67 price for India by $20/ton to $1020/ton CIF India, cash. The November offer to China was lifted by $10/ton to $880/ton CIF China, cash, while the FOB Taiwan export price also rose by $10/ton to $850/ton, cash.
Offers to selected Southeast Asian destinations were reported at $870/ton CIF Vietnam, $895/ton CIF Thailand, and $920/ton CIF Malaysia. All prices were quoted on a cash basis. The producer did not provide any volume-based discounts for November shipments.
November PVC Offer Changes
The producer’s announced prices and month-on-month adjustments are as follows:
- FOB Taiwan:** November offer at $850/ton, up $10/ton from October’s $840/ton.
- CIF India:** November offer at $1020/ton, an increase of $20/ton from October’s $1000/ton.
- CIF China:**November offer at $880/ton, rising $10/ton from October’s $870/ton.
Higher Costs Support Prices Despite Weak Demand
The latest price increases were driven by continued strength in upstream costs, which have raised production expenses for regional suppliers, particularly in China. This cost pressure has encouraged PVC producers to pursue higher prices across Asian markets, even as demand remains subdued.
However, the Taiwanese producer’s latest adjustments were relatively limited compared with previous increases. Its offers had already climbed to elevated levels after several consecutive rounds of hikes, prompting a more measured approach to November pricing.
The modest revisions also reflected caution toward market conditions, particularly following the sharp decline in crude oil futures in recent settlements. With demand still sluggish and energy markets volatile, PVC suppliers continue to balance higher production costs against buyer resistance.
