BPCL Plans ₹49,000 Crore Petrochemical Park Near Bina

As part of the project, BPCL will expand the capacity of its Bina refinery to 11 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA) by May 2028. The expansion is aimed at integrating refining and petrochemical operations to enhance value addition and strengthen the company’s downstream portfolio.
Under the proposed development, ethylene produced at the complex will be supplied through dedicated pipelines to support downstream plastic and chemical manufacturing units within the petrochemical park. The integrated setup is expected to create a strong ecosystem for polymer and chemical producers.
The move is projected to provide a major boost to local industries in Madhya Pradesh, a state that currently does not host a large-scale petrochemical hub. The project is also expected to generate employment opportunities, attract ancillary investments, and drive industrial growth in the region.
