Egypt’s EIPET Plans December Maintenance as PET Prices Rise

Meanwhile, EIPET’s latest price list for November was reported at $1,410–1,420/ton CIF, with payment by letter of credit (LC) at sight. The new prices represent an increase of $40/ton compared with October levels.
Market sources also indicated that the producer has sold out its available volumes and will not make deliveries during December because of the planned maintenance shutdown.
The combination of higher prices, fully committed volumes and the upcoming maintenance period is expected to limit EIPET’s PET availability in the coming month.
