Fire Erupts Near Ras Tanura After Attacks on Aramco Offices and Shaybah Area

Saudi Arabia said it had intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles heading toward the Eastern Region and four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) approaching the Southern Region.
The incident comes amid an escalation in attacks by Yemen’s Houthi movement, which is backed by Iran, as the Saudi-led coalition continues its campaign against the group in Yemen. The conflict has raised security concerns around southwestern Yemen and the strategically important Bab el-Mandeb Strait, a key route for global energy shipments.
Recent incidents have included two missile strikes on Riyadh’s airport that reportedly killed 14 people, as well as an attack on an Aramco administrative building in Dhahran. The Houthis have also claimed responsibility for targeting pumping stations along Saudi Arabia’s East-West oil pipeline, although Saudi authorities have not confirmed the claim.
The pipeline had previously been shut down for two weeks in September following drone damage to pumping stations, which also disrupted crude oil loadings at Yanbu on the Red Sea coast.
Last week, falling debris from intercepted drones killed two people and injured two others near the Shaybah processing plant. Operations at the facility were not affected by the incident.
Saudi Arabia has largely restored its oil export flows through both the Strait of Hormuz and the Red Sea, making the security of its key energy infrastructure and export routes particularly significant amid the latest attacks.
