Advanced Petrochemical Company Offers Polypropylene to Indian Market Amid Volatile Conditions

Advanced Petrochemical Company (APC), a Saudi producer, has introduced polypropylene (PP) offers to the Indian market. This move provides Indian buyers with an additional procurement option from the Middle East, as reported by PolymerMIS on August 31, 2026. However, the specific price direction for these offers remains undisclosed.
The introduction of these offers comes at a time when PP prices in parts of Asia have been declining due to weak demand and ample supply, with notable price reductions in regions like Far East Asia and Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, Indian polyolefin importers are cautious due to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, which have previously driven up prices and created delivery uncertainties.
Despite the easing of prices, the Indian market remains tight in supply, and logistics challenges persist. The demand for polymers is expected to soften further as India enters its monsoon season, traditionally a period of reduced construction activity and manufacturing output. This seasonal slowdown, coupled with earlier rapid price increases, has led to cautious purchasing behavior among Indian buyers.
As Indian buyers navigate these complex market dynamics, the availability of Middle East-origin PP from APC could offer a strategic advantage, provided the geopolitical risks and logistical challenges are managed effectively.
