IOC Polymer Price Revision: PP Stable, PE Price Cut

Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has announced a revision in its polymer prices effective from July 9, 2026. The prices for polypropylene (PP) will remain unchanged, indicating a stable market trend for this polymer. However, the prices for polyethylene (PE) will see a significant decrease of INR 9,000 per metric ton.
This price adjustment comes with a price protection period for polyethylene, lasting from July 9 to July 15, 2026. This move suggests an effort by IOC to stabilize the market and potentially boost demand for polyethylene amidst fluctuating market conditions.
The decision to maintain PP prices while reducing PE prices reflects the current market dynamics and demand-supply scenarios in the polymer industry. Buyers and suppliers in the B2B sector should take note of these changes as they plan their procurement and sales strategies.
