Saudi PE Supplier Raises LLDPE and HDPE Offers for Vietnam

A Saudi Arabian PE producer has announced its latest LLDPE and HDPE film offers to the Vietnamese market, with prices showing a sharp increase from the revised July levels.

The producer had reduced its initial July offers around mid-month after buyer interest remained insufficient amid strong competition among suppliers, despite its original prices being viewed as highly competitive. The latest announcement, however, reflects a significant upward revision.

LLDPE film offers were set at $1,170-1,180/ton CIF Vietnam, cash, representing an increase of around $230-240/ton from the revised July levels. Meanwhile, HDPE film was offered at $1,210/ton CIF Vietnam, cash, up by $220/ton from the previous revised levels.

According to a source from the producer, customer feedback on the newly announced prices has been quite positive so far, indicating a better market response despite the substantial increase.
