Saudi Producer Cuts July PE Offers to Vietnam Amid Persistent Market Weakness

The supplier's latest offers were reported at $1150/ton for HDPE film, $1110/ton for LLDPE C4 film, $1280/ton for mLLDPE C6 film, $1300/ton for LDPE film, and $1460/ton for LDPE coating, all on a CIF Vietnam, cash basis.
Compared with June shipments, the new offers indicate substantial price reductions. HDPE film was lowered by $250/ton, while LLDPE C4 film and rotomolding grades saw decreases of $190-200/ton. LDPE film was cut by $350/ton, LDPE coating by $340/ton, and mLLDPE C6 film recorded the steepest reduction of $420/ton.
For other grades, the producer offered HDPE blow molding at $1180/ton CIF Vietnam, HDPE injection at $1150/ton CIF, while LLDPE C4 injection and LLDPE C4 rotomolding were both offered at $1250/ton CIF Vietnam.
The latest pricing marks a major shift from June, when the supplier re-entered the Vietnamese market after a two-month absence caused by shipping disruptions and production constraints linked to the regional conflict. At that time, the producer sought significant increases, supported by tighter supply conditions and logistical challenges.
Market participants noted that the July reductions were largely anticipated, given the ongoing weakness in downstream demand, comfortable regional supply, and the steady decline in PE prices across Asia over recent weeks.
Buyers continue to adopt a cautious purchasing approach, limiting procurement to immediate requirements. According to market sources, the latest offers bring the supplier's pricing closer to prevailing market levels as sellers adjust to softer demand conditions and increased competition.
