Rupee Downtrend Continues: July Ends with ₹87+ Levels

The consistent pressure was fueled by:
Rising global crude oil prices
Strong dollar demand from importers
Foreign fund outflows exceeding $1.5 billion this month
Global uncertainties and fears of US trade actions
Despite efforts by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to stabilize the currency through dollar sales, global market dynamics kept the rupee under stress.
Analysts suggest that unless there is a sharp shift in sentiment or stronger RBI intervention, the rupee may continue to hover near current levels in the coming days.
Rupee Closing Levels Over the Week:
July 22: ₹86.15
July 25: ₹86.52
July 28: ₹86.5150 (flat)
July 29: ₹86.87
July 30: ₹87.06 – ₹87.13 (intraday)
