Reliance Industries Raises PVC Prices in India Amid Cost-Push Factors

Reliance Industries Limited has announced a significant increase in the prices of Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) in the domestic Indian market. Effective from July 23, 2026, the price of PVC has been raised by ₹2,000 per metric tonne, equivalent to an increase of ₹2 per kilogram.
This adjustment marks the second PVC price hike by the company in July 2026, driven by cost-push factors and recent government import restrictions on low-priced SPVC below USD 0.766/kg. The increase is expected to impact procurement costs for PVC buyers, including pipe manufacturers, traders, distributors, and plastic processors across India.
The broader polymer market in India has been experiencing upward price movements due to tight supply conditions, higher crude oil prices, and rupee depreciation. These factors have contributed to a constrained import arbitrage and delayed shipments, further supporting the domestic price increase.
Market participants are advised to confirm the latest grade-wise PVC prices, applicable taxes, and stock availability before making procurement decisions. The price hike reflects the ongoing volatility in the polymer market, with traders and distributors likely to adjust their offers accordingly.
