IOCL to Triple Petrochemical Capacity to 13 MTPA by 2030

The expansion will include both upgrades to existing complexes and new integrated projects at Panipat, Paradip, and Gujarat. IOCL aims to strengthen its position in the fast-growing polymer market, with demand for polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) surging across packaging, automotive, and infrastructure sectors.
Industry experts say the move will reduce India’s dependence on imports and support the country’s ambition of building a $200 billion petrochemical sector by 2030.
