Indonesian Producer Extends PP and PE Price Cuts in Domestic Market

A major Indonesian producer has announced fresh reductions in its domestic PP and PE offers, continuing the downward pricing trend that has been in place since late April. According to market sources, this marks the ninth consecutive price revision featuring either stable or lower levels, reflecting ongoing pressure on local market sentiment.

Within the PE segment, the producer lowered weekly offers by IDR590,000/ton for LLDPE Film, IDR550,000/ton for LLDPE Injection, and IDR740,000/ton for HDPE Film.

PP grades saw even larger adjustments. PP Block Copolymer Injection recorded the sharpest decrease, followed by significant reductions in Homo PP Film, BOPP Film, PP Random Copolymer Injection, and Homo PP Raffia & Injection grades.

The producer's latest FD Indonesia cash offers are as follows:

LLDPE Film:
IDR 25,690,000/ton (Down IDR 590,000)

LLDPE Injection:
IDR 27,650,000/ton (Down IDR 550,000)

HDPE Film:
IDR 26,760,000/ton (Down IDR 740,000)

PP Block Copolymer Injection:
IDR 25,870,000/ton (Down IDR 2,860,000)

PP Random Copolymer Injection:
IDR 28,550,000/ton (Down IDR 890,000)

Homo PP Raffia & Injection:
IDR 23,550,000/ton (Down IDR 470,000)

Homo PP Film:
IDR 25,330,000/ton (Down IDR 1,640,000)

BOPP Film:
IDR 24,000,000/ton (Down IDR 970,000)

Market participants noted that the latest reductions continue to weaken overall sentiment, with both PP and PE prices facing sustained pressure amid cautious buying activity and ample supply availability in the domestic market.
