Dalian Futures Mixed on June 3; PP Extends Gains While LLDPE, PVC and MEG Slip

Trading on the Dalian Commodity Exchange showed a mixed performance on June 3, with PP futures posting gains while LLDPE, PVC, and MEG contracts closed lower.
September PP futures continued their upward movement, rising by CNY47/ton to settle at CNY8,732/ton ($1,141/ton excluding VAT). Trading activity remained strong, with total volume reaching 600,638 tons.
In contrast, September LLDPE futures edged lower by CNY20/ton, ending the session at CNY7,974/ton ($1,042/ton excluding VAT). Total traded volume stood at 459,292 tons.
PVC futures also moved downward during the session. The September contract declined by CNY46/ton to close at CNY4,926/ton ($644/ton excluding VAT), while recording a trading volume of 1,115,977 tons, making it the most actively traded contract among the major polymer futures.
Meanwhile, September MEG futures slipped by CNY20/ton and settled at CNY4,521/ton ($591/ton excluding VAT). Trading volume for the contract reached 295,347 tons.
Overall, the June 3 session reflected cautious market sentiment, with PP maintaining strength while LLDPE, PVC, and MEG faced moderate selling pressure.
