Dalian Exchange Sees Broad Gains in PP, LLDPE, PVC and MEG Futures on October 30, 2026

All four major polymer and chemical futures contracts recorded gains on the Dalian Commodity Exchange on Friday, October 30, 2026. January LLDPE, PP, PVC and MEG contracts closed higher, with MEG posting the largest increase in CNY terms.

LLDPE Futures Climb by CNY206/ton

January LLDPE futures settled at CNY9,494/ton ($1,263/ton without VAT), rising CNY206/ton ($31/ton) during Friday’s session.

The contract recorded a trading volume of 959,199 tons.

PP Futures Advance to CNY10,433/ton

January polypropylene futures closed at CNY10,433/ton ($1,388/ton without VAT), gaining CNY134/ton ($20/ton) from the previous settlement.

Total trading volume reached 1,547,110 tons.

PVC Futures Post a Modest Increase

January PVC futures settled at CNY5,295/ton ($704/ton without VAT), marking an increase of CNY21/ton ($3/ton).

Trading volume for the contract stood at 1,803,526 tons.

MEG Futures Record the Largest Gain

January monoethylene glycol futures ended the session at CNY5,342/ton ($711/ton without VAT), up CNY157/ton ($24/ton) from the previous settlement.

The contract recorded a trading volume of 1,916,826 tons, the highest among the four products.

All four January contracts finished Friday’s session in positive territory, with MEG leading the gains and recording the highest trading volume.
