Dalian Futures Market: PP, LLDPE, PVC, MEG – May 15, 2026
Polymer futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange mostly moved lower on Friday, May 15, with LLDPE, PP, and PVC contracts ending the session in negative territory, while MEG posted a slight gain.

September LLDPE futures declined by CNY108/ton ($16/ton) to settle at CNY8059/ton, equivalent to around $1048/ton excluding VAT. Trading activity remained active with total volumes reaching 449,649 tons.

September PP futures also edged lower, falling by CNY31/ton ($5/ton) to close at CNY8760/ton ($1139/ton without VAT). Trade volume for the session stood at 531,507 tons.

PVC futures for September delivery recorded a sharper drop, decreasing by CNY119/ton ($17/ton) to settle at CNY5075/ton, or approximately $660/ton excluding VAT. PVC remained the most actively traded contract among the four products, with volumes touching 1,008,569 tons.

Meanwhile, September MEG futures bucked the broader downtrend and settled slightly higher. Prices increased by CNY11/ton ($2/ton) to reach CNY4745/ton ($617/ton without VAT), while trade volume totaled 305,247 tons.
