Dalian Futures Market: PP, LLDPE, PVC, MEG – June 29, 2026

China’s polymer futures market ended mixed on June 29, with gains in PP, LLDPE and MEG contracts, while PVC futures continued to move lower. Trading activity remained active across all major contracts on the Dalian Commodity Exchange.
September PP futures posted the strongest performance of the day, rising by CNY149/ton to settle at CNY7,231/ton, equivalent to around $942/ton excluding VAT. Trading volume reached 906,043 tons, reflecting healthy market participation.
September LLDPE futures also closed higher, gaining CNY49/ton to settle at CNY6,875/ton ($896/ton without VAT). Total trading volume stood at 464,204 tons.
In contrast, September PVC futures extended their decline, slipping by CNY39/ton to finish at CNY4,377/ton ($570/ton without VAT). PVC recorded a trading volume of 889,921 tons.
Meanwhile, September MEG futures recovered from previous losses, advancing CNY60/ton to settle at CNY4,053/ton ($528/ton without VAT). Trading volume for the contract reached 290,290 tons.
Overall, PP led the gains on the day, while PVC remained under pressure, highlighting the mixed sentiment across China's petrochemical futures markets.
