Dalian Futures Market: PP, LLDPE, PVC, MEG – June 16, 2026

Dalian commodity futures posted broad losses on June 16, with all major petrochemical contracts ending the session sharply lower amid weaker market sentiment.
LLDPE futures for September delivery recorded a significant decline, settling at CNY7,484/ton ($980/ton excluding VAT), down CNY245/ton from the previous session. Trading activity remained active, with total volume reaching 738,021 tons.
PP futures also came under heavy pressure. The September contract closed at CNY8,058/ton ($1,055/ton excluding VAT), marking a steep drop of CNY306/ton. Trading volume stood at 994,855 tons.
PVC futures extended their downward trend as well. The September contract settled at CNY4,654/ton ($609/ton excluding VAT), down CNY81/ton from the previous close. Total traded volume exceeded one million tons, reaching 1,004,119 tons.
Meanwhile, September MEG futures registered another notable decline, ending the day at CNY4,367/ton ($572/ton excluding VAT), a decrease of CNY159/ton. Trading volume was reported at 411,334 tons.
The session reflected a broad-based correction across China's petrochemical futures complex, with PP recording the largest decline among the key contracts tracked on the Dalian Commodity Exchange.
