ADNOC Secures Long-Term LNG Supply Deal with Germany’s SEFE

ADNOC has finalized a 15-year agreement with Germany’s energy company SEFE to supply 1 million tons of LNG annually from its upcoming Ruwais LNG project in Abu Dhabi. The contract confirms an earlier preliminary agreement, with deliveries scheduled to begin in 2028 after the project enters commercial operation.
The deal further strengthens ADNOC’s long-term customer base, with more than 7 million tons per year of the Ruwais project's planned capacity already committed under supply agreements. The partnership is expected to support Germany’s efforts to diversify its energy sources while deepening energy cooperation between the UAE and Germany.
ADNOC also highlighted that the Ruwais LNG facility is being developed as the first LNG export project in the Middle East and Africa powered by clean energy, aiming to achieve one of the lowest carbon footprints among LNG plants worldwide.
