Acrylic Acid Market Price Is Strongly Rising

The acrylic acid market has experienced a significant price increase recently, with prices rising in a stepwise manner and stabilizing at a high level. As of October 14, the benchmark price for acrylic acid was 8,966.67 RMB/ton, reflecting a 4.67% increase from the beginning of the month.
The primary factor driving this upward trend is the sharp rise in production costs, particularly due to the increasing prices of propylene, an essential upstream raw material. On October 14, propylene prices reached 10,701.00 RMB/ton, marking a 10.23% increase from earlier in the month.
This surge in propylene prices has significantly impacted the cost structure for acrylic acid producers, who are now compelled to maintain higher price levels. As a result, low-priced supplies have diminished rapidly.
Looking ahead, the acrylic acid market is expected to continue experiencing firm pricing if propylene prices remain elevated. The market is currently benefiting from strong cost support and a technical breakout.
