Southeast Asia’s PVC Markets Struggle Amid Weak Demand – What’s Next for March?

Southeast Asia’s PVC Markets Struggle Amid Weak Demand – What’s Next for March?

Southeast Asia’s domestic PVC K67-68 markets ended February on a weak note due to sluggish demand. While most regional suppliers held prices steady despite a two-week drop in import costs, Vietnam’s market saw slight declines.

In Vietnam, prices remained stable or dipped slightly as buyers relied on pre-holiday stock, limiting fresh purchases. Other regional markets, including Indonesia, the Philippines, and Thailand, maintained stability. However, concerns arise as Taiwan’s price cuts fuel bearish sentiment, and Ramadan is expected to slow trading in Indonesia and Malaysia.

With weak demand and external pressures, the region’s PVC market faces uncertainty heading into March.
