RIL Revises PE Prices Downward Effective July 9, 2026

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced a downward revision of its polyethylene (PE) prices, effective from July 9, 2026. The price adjustment includes a reduction of INR 9,000 per metric ton for both High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) and Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE), which translates to approximately $108 per metric ton or Rs 9 per kilogram. Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE) prices have been decreased by INR 5,000 per metric ton.
This price revision is accompanied by a period of price protection from July 9 to July 15, 2026. The move is seen as an effort by RIL to stabilize the market amidst fluctuating demand and supply conditions. The reduction in prices is expected to provide relief to buyers and stimulate market activity.
The announcement comes at a time when the polymer market is closely monitoring price movements, with various categories such as HDPE, LLDPE, and LDPE being pivotal to the industry. This strategic decision by RIL is likely to influence market dynamics and purchasing decisions across the polymer supply chain in India.
