Chinese export PVC breaks $550 FOB threshold.

Local prices for ethylene-based K67-68 were stable to CNY50/ton ($7/ton) for the second consecutive week, while export prices fell by $10-15/ton after three weeks of stability. Acetylene-based PVC remained flat in the local market, but export prices softened by $5/ton for the second straight week. Both grades continue to hover at historical lows, with the low end of the ethylene-based export range hitting $550/ton FOB and acetylene-based slipping slightly below.
May PVC futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange rose sharply by CNY319/ton ($45/ton) on a weekly basis as of December 18, fueling mixed reactions among market players.
