China Futures Market Opening – 25 September 2026

The opening of the China futures market on September 25, 2026, presented mixed signals for the polymer sector. Polypropylene (PP) and Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) showed firmer intraday indications, while Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) exhibited a downward trend.
According to the latest updates, PP prices increased from RMB 8,400 per metric ton to RMB 8,631 per metric ton. Similarly, LLDPE saw an upward movement from RMB 8,079 per metric ton to RMB 8,235 per metric ton. In contrast, PVC prices decreased from RMB 4,800 per metric ton to RMB 4,718 per metric ton.
These movements provide a mixed benchmark signal for Asian polymer sentiment, with PP and LLDPE showing strength, while PVC indicates a weaker outlook. The adjustments in the PP market, particularly in areas like Raffia, suggest a slight downward bias despite the overall firmer trend.
