IOCL Revises HDPE Pipe Prices Amidst Stable PE and PP Rates

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has announced a price revision for its polymer products, specifically targeting the HDPE pipe segment. Effective from October 8, 2026, the price for HDPE pipe has been increased by ₹2 per kilogram. This adjustment reflects a strategic response to either selective demand or availability constraints within the market.
While the HDPE pipe prices have seen an upward revision, IOCL has decided to keep the prices for other polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP) products unchanged. This decision suggests that the price hike is not a result of a broad-based domestic increase but rather a targeted measure to address specific market dynamics.
The polymer market in India has been experiencing fluctuations, influenced by various global factors, including geopolitical tensions and changes in crude oil prices. However, IOCL's selective price adjustment indicates a nuanced approach to managing its product pricing strategy amidst these external pressures.
