Dalian Futures End Higher as PP, LLDPE, PVC and MEG Post Gains
Polymer futures on the Dalian Commodity Exchange closed higher on August 7, with all four major contracts recording gains compared with the previous session. LLDPE and PP posted the strongest advances, while PVC registered a modest increase. MEG also rebounded sharply, reflecting improved market sentiment.

September LLDPE futures settled at CNY 7,683/ton (approximately $1,007/ton, excluding VAT), rising CNY 177/ton ($26/ton). Trading activity totaled 351,198 tons.

September PP futures finished at CNY 8,098/ton (around $1,062/ton, excluding VAT), up CNY 170/ton ($25/ton) from the previous session, with a trading volume of 552,111 tons.

September PVC futures edged higher to CNY 4,506/ton (about $591/ton, excluding VAT), gaining CNY 17/ton ($3/ton). Total trading volume reached 605,198 tons.

Meanwhile, September MEG futures closed at CNY 4,736/ton (roughly $621/ton, excluding VAT), marking the day's largest percentage gain with an increase of CNY 233/ton ($35/ton). Trading volume stood at 714,863 tons.
