RIL Reduces Polymer Prices with New Incentives

RIL Reduces Polymer Prices with New Incentives

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced significant price reductions across its polymer portfolio, effective from July 2. This strategic move includes sharp price cuts for polypropylene (PP), high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE), and polyvinyl chloride (PVC).

The price reductions are as follows: PP prices have been slashed by ₹12,500 per metric ton, HDPE and LLDPE by ₹10,000 per metric ton, LDPE by ₹1,000 to ₹6,000 per metric ton, and PVC by ₹3,000 per metric ton. Additionally, RIL has introduced an Early Bird Incentive of ₹2,500 per metric ton on polyethylene (PE) purchases made between July 2 and July 11.

This pricing strategy, including the withdrawal of price protection for HDPE and LLDPE, aims to stimulate sales in the face of soft demand conditions in the market. The early bird incentives are expected to encourage buyers to make prompt purchasing decisions, thereby boosting RIL's polymer sales in the short term.
