Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Reduces Polypropylene (PP) Prices in India Domestic Markets

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) Reduces Polypropylene (PP) Prices in India Domestic Markets

Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) has announced a significant reduction in Polypropylene (PP) prices across all segments in the Indian domestic market. The reduction is INR 12,500 per metric ton, equivalent to Rs 12.5 per kilogram, and is effective from July 2, 2026. This price adjustment comes as supply constraints ease and availability improves, following previous market volatility due to disruptions in the Middle East.

The price protection previously in place has been withdrawn, signaling a stabilization in the market. This development aligns with the broader trend observed in South Asia, where PP prices have seen fluctuations due to varying import offers and international economic conditions.

In the context of the South Asian market, PP Injection/Raffia prices are down by USD 95 to USD 1,130 per metric ton, and PP Copolymer (PPCP) prices have decreased by USD 70 to USD 1,195 per metric ton on a CFR South Asia basis. This adjustment by RIL is part of a wider market trend where PP prices have been affected by global supply dynamics and regional demand shifts.
