Egypt’s PE Producers Announce July Offers to Local Market

Egypt’s polyethylene market entered July on a weaker footing as the country’s two domestic PE producers introduced substantial price reductions in response to soft demand, falling import prices, and growing competition from lower-priced imported material.
SIDPEC, one of Egypt’s key PE producers, lowered its July offers after attempting to maintain stable prices in previous months. However, increasing pressure from competitively priced Saudi cargoes and a generally bearish market environment forced the producer to revise prices sharply downward.

The overall market outlook remains bearish, with buyers continuing to adopt a cautious purchasing strategy while awaiting additional corrections.
