Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Prices Decline Across Asia

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Prices Decline Across Asia

Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) prices have seen a decline across Asia, including significant reductions in India. This downturn is attributed to a weaker market sentiment, with a major Taiwanese producer cutting their offers by USD 120 per metric ton.

In India, PVC prices have decreased by USD 30-60 per metric ton, bringing the rates to USD 800-840 per metric ton on a CFR basis. The Taiwanese producer has set their offers at USD 805 per metric ton CIF India for July shipments.

The market is witnessing cautious buying activity with limited immediate demand, as buyers are delaying purchases in anticipation of further price corrections. Additionally, the feedstock VCM has also seen a price drop of USD 65 per metric ton, contributing to the overall decline in PVC prices.
