Dalian futures mostly weaker on May 28, PVC jumps higher
The Dalian Commodity Exchange closed with mixed performance on May 28, as LLDPE and PP futures moved lower, PVC recorded a strong gain, and MEG remained largely stable.

September LLDPE futures slipped by CNY20/ton to settle at CNY7772/ton, equivalent to nearly $1014/ton excluding VAT. Trading activity remained active, with total volume reaching 460,507 tons.

September PP futures also weakened during the session, falling by CNY49/ton to close at CNY8454/ton, or around $1103/ton without VAT. Total trade volume for the contract stood at 644,269 tons.

In contrast, September PVC futures posted a notable increase of CNY71/ton, settling at CNY4942/ton, equivalent to approximately $645/ton excluding VAT. PVC also recorded the highest trading activity among the major contracts, with volume reaching 1,218,278 tons.

Meanwhile, September MEG futures remained mostly stable and settled at CNY4443/ton, or nearly $580/ton without VAT. Total traded volume was reported at 374,874 tons.
