Indonesian producer reduces PP and PE offers again as weak demand persists

A major Indonesian producer has announced another round of price reductions for polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE) in the domestic market, extending last week’s downward revisions. The continued decline reflects sluggish demand conditions, as buyers remain cautious due to the gap between finished product prices and the earlier sharp rise in resin costs.

In the latest adjustment, PE prices were cut by IDR 870,000 per ton (around $50/ton), while PP prices were reduced by IDR 350,000 per ton (approximately $20/ton) across all grades.
